unafraid
Be careful, you are not in wonderland. I’ve heard the strange madness long growing in your soul. But you’re fortunate in your ignorance, in your isolation; you who have suffered find where love hides, give, share, lose. Lest we die, unbloomed /

If by ‘fuck the police’ you mean fuck the corrupt, prejudiced, racist system then yes, fuck the police, but if you mean fuck the police for stopping you from smoking weed and getting away with illegal behaviour then no, fuck you.

HARRY POTTER SPELLS: a summary

i wish desperately
that someone had told me, gently
‘you’re beautiful, truly
wonderfully, completely.

my darling, earnestly
you’re genuinely gorgeous,
and no, surprisingly
i’m not talking aesthetically
i mean you are unapologetically
frantic and scientifically
challenged and passionately
witty and ridiculously
poetic and spectacularly
goofy, like viciously
defiant and unfailingly
vivacious, tremendously
terribly
heartbreakingly
dazzling’

because right now: honestly
i am singularly
focused on my face, baggy
and my hair, flimsy
and my stature, stringy
not my mind, pleasantly noisy
or my willpower, persistantly brawny.

i vote that universally
we look at ourselves periodically
and say assuredly
‘i am sparklingly
i am radiantly
resplendent.’

because you are.
because we are.
sincerely.

“Your mother died to save you. If there is one thing Voldemort cannot understand, it is love. Love as powerful as your mother’s for you leaves it’s own mark. To have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever.”

You just, you have a quality.

Potter has done too much for me for me to ever want to shit all over it. I’m never going to say: ‘Don’t ask me questions about that’. I remember reading an interview with Robert Smith from The Cure. Somebody said to him: ‘Why do you still wear all that makeup, don’t you feel a bit past it?’ And he said: ‘There are still 14-year-olds coming to see The Cure for the first time, dressed like that. I’d never want to make them feel silly.’ It’s a similar thing with Potter. People are still discovering those books and films. It would be awful for them to find out the people involved had turned their backs on it. Though sometimes, people do come up and say ‘I loved you in The Woman in Black,’ which is really sweet. That’s them knowing that it matters to me that I’ve done other stuff.
